November....woof!!!

I've never really been a fan of Novembers. They don't bring anything special to me... Yes thanksgiving is great but it's not something celebrated all month. Anywho... Here are some pics of things that happened during the 11th month of 2013!!!
Charming Charlie has FINALLY come to Utah!!!!!! Yay!!!!!
Jazz Game!!!!!!
After the above mentioned Jazz Game on the second, Becca and I went to nightmare on 13th for the third time for $5... We can't help ourselves!!!
Dad and I went to a Brighton football game- quarter finals in herriman. We weren't prepared for the wind chill out there....but Brighton won and it was fun!
One of the coolest sunsets ever! The clouds were so crazy so the texture was amazing!!!
Jazz game for FHE
And another Jazz game! This time they actually won!!!
With Dane- he's sooo big!!!
Mom's birthday

Becca and I found out about a hot spring near Lehi and so we had an adventure and went! It was really fun! It's not a paved thing so everything was muddy afterward.
Mine and Becca's reindeer craft! I think they are adorable. A little time consuming... But we enjoyed Christmas movies while we worked on them.
I made feathers for the marketing department to write what they are thankful for and added them to our turkey!
Mom and I in the Target line on thanksgiving night!
The last day of November I went shooting with the Vikari/Hardin family while my parents flew to Hawaii. I found out I'm a pretty good shot with an AR 15.

So even though I've never been a fan of November, it didn't turn out so bad!!!

When September Ends...

So i've been wonderfully busy and haven't had the time to blog.
So here is my catch up post. I present for your reading pleasure (or your "I have nothing better to do") my post about the rest of September.
Having a mother that works for the Management company of Larry Miller has lots of perks.
One of them: they buy tables at events and need people to fill those seats. This instance was the Governor's Gala. So we got fancy and went.

The only pic of all 3 of us there
We later found out we were in the "special" room with the Governor
and all these people and had no idea it wasn't open to everyone.
Thats what happens when you show up on time to places though!

Jeff Foxworthy was the entertainment and boy was he funny live.
He knows a lot about Utah and the culture here.
We were in tears laughing.

Next thing you know, it's rivalry weekend! I hate playing Utah in september. I wish it were back to November like the good days. Especially for a rivalry game; BYU always gets better as the year goes on and Utah usually gets worse. Had we played them now... we would have won. Oh well. We still had fun. :)

Emily and I stunned at by what is seriously happening...
The other good thing about fall is Volleyball. My singles ward plays tuesday nights and my home stake plays thursday nights. So i get to play twice a week and its the best thing ever. Seriously. I'm in heaven when i get to play volleyball. The tuesday nights are a little harder for me since we only play best 2 of 3 games against another ward and have a record that we keep track of so i get frustrated when we lose or when people who don't know how to play show up and i sit on the sidelines from subbing out and can't do anything about it. If you know me, you know i'm competitive and i can't change that. Thursday night is more relaxed and we play for 2 hours just because we love to play.
ANYWAY. THe last weekend of september was a perfect transition to one of the best months of the year...
We went to Nightmare on 13th for $15 and No line. It was perfect. Scary? Of course. Nightmare is one of the best.

Tune back later for some of the best posts this year, because Octobler was PACKED!!!!

Eight and Half of Nine

August (eight) ended with pool parties and trying to soak up every last ounce of sun we could! For FHE one night we were at this amazing house of a high council member. Water slide, rope swing and waterfalls. It was a really fun night. I love my ward.

In September (nine) we gained a new....hobby? Toy? Adventure? Either way. Here it is. The scooter.

I spotted her at a garage sale of all places and asked the owner what the price was. About $700 is what he told us. We left and i went back with my dad to talk details. Long story short, it is now ours. We had to get a new battery, an oil change, a helmet and get it registered. Now that's all done- i have to get a motorcycle license...It'll probably be spring until that happens.

Anyway. I finally made a trip to the zoo on an overcast day with my mom and the hale family. I really only have one goal when i go to the zoo. See the polar bear.
This year there was a Lego display of animals

96,000 lego bricks in this polar bear

This polar bear puts on a show! Comes right up to the windows.
I love her and want one of my own.
We also saw the bird show.
This is a MUST see!
It was so fun, entertaining and just plain cool.
I got tickets to the Bee's game when they made it to the playoffs. This game was a fireworks game and dollar hotdog night! Booyah!

My favorite Hokulia Shaved Ice. It's amazing! Peach, vanilla and Raspberry topped w/ sweetened condensed milk.

Mom and dad split the biggest one and it was gone in seconds!
So Fall finally arrived and i am still not really accepting of the idea...I miss summer...already!
But, with fall comes some wonderful things.
Including:
BYU FOOTBALL

So my dad couldn't come to the first home game because of the MOTAB concert with James Taylor. But my mom and I went and were not aware of what was about to happen. We got to orem and decided the clouds looked threatening so we stopped in macey's and bought some poncho's. A couple blocks from where we park just down the street from the stadium, the rains came in. Literally haven't seen a downpour like that in Utah before. It was insane. So the game ended up being delayed for 2 hours and we were NOT prepared for that. I was in shorts and flip flops for weather that had just dropped 20 degrees and we didn't eat before. The game finally was allowed to start and what a surprise it was! BYU kicked the Texas Longhorns' butt! I was amazed. I thought we would put up a good fight and lose, but i was WRONG! WOO HOO!
You know what else fall in Utah brings? That's right, The Utah State Fair! My friend Melissa and I took trax down to the fairpark and met up with Becca and Nick (my cousins) and their friends.
 Cheesecake dipped in chocolate

The BIGGEST cow I have EVER seen!

Boston Cream Pie Funnel Cake
I had about 1/4 of this...
And to finish this post off: an adorable picture of me with my newest nephew Dane
In a few weeks i'll be able to finish off the month of september and give you half of octobler!
Until then, be kind to one another!
