The 14th was the annual Leapin Leaners and Low Tops fundraiser with the Utah Jazz. I got pictures with Big Al, Paul Millsap, Derrick Favors, Randy Foye, Jeff Hornacek and Gordon Hayward...who also signed my Jazz jersey.

A couple days later, on St Patricks day, we flew to HAWAII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We got to Maui around 9pm hawaii time and my Aunt Mardie was there and greeted us with lei's!!!
Welcome to Maui! Now, I'm curious if all islands kind of have the same smell... The smell when i arrived reminded me of the Dominican Republic. Anyone else have the same experience with the islands smelling? Anyway. We stayed up till like 2am utah time talking and figuring out the plan for the next day.
DAY 1 in MAUI
I woke up at 6am which was 4 hours later utah time. Jet lag is a real thing people. I've never really experience it until this day. Anyway. After watching the sun take over the beach from the hotel balcony we went for a walk on the beach. After our walk we went for an exploration drive. We first stopped at Honolua Bay and watched the surfers. It's apparently a famous surf area; there are local stores called the Honolua Surf Company. We then went and found a Blowhole...the name of the area has escaped my memory..... It had wonderful scenery and crashing waves. After our drive we went back to the hotel and got in our swimwear and went to the beach/pool. It's whale season in Hawaii in Feb & March. The whales come and mate/get pregnant/return to raise their baby whales in the ocean they were conceived in. So, we saw whales all day, everyday. You could watch for hours and see the puff of water from their blow and you'd see them "breach" and show their tale. It was a fun week of whale watching from the balcony and beach. We were ready for some dinner and went to the Hard Rock Cafe in Lahaina. They had gluten free hamburger buns on ALL of their burgers, so my mom was happy. We ended the night with a stroll through the Lahaina shops.

Remember kids, blowholes are not water parks!
There she blows! She the purple dot to the right of it? That's my dad.
Crashing waves!

And that's Hawaii Day 1. I will post the other days later!
Aloha!
