Anywho. The next day we split up and did some shopping; the girls all went to Charming Charlie and browsed through the colorful accessories for hours. Little Charley June was the cutest with her little basket and putting things in it and just loving shopping. She calls the place Charlings now. Adorable.
We met up with the boys and went to Miller's BBQ and browsed the local antique shops. We spent the rest of the night at home playing ladder ball, and enjoying the beautiful warm Texas weather.
The next day was Sunday and we had a lazy morning until church, then came home and lazed around some more before we went to see Ken's new office at his hospital.
On monday we ran some errands and then headed to the water park. It was a hot day and i loved it. I LOVE when you walk outside and the heat just hits you.
Tuesday we got up early and headed for Belton Lake. Ken had rented a pontoon boat for us to spend the day on. We had fishing poles set up on all corners of the boat and we caught quite a few fish! We threw them all back but i got to see my first catfish. There was a fun little waterfall which was a pleasant surprise. We were able to pull the boat up on the sand of the shore by the waterfall and explore a bit. We climbed up to the waterfall and then played in the lake for a long time. We had lunch and then continued to cruise around the lake. More fishing and more loving the breeze, heat and water followed by more playing in the water. I have a happy place on the lake when i can sit in the front of the boat and just feel the wind and the water hits my face. Ah i love it!
That night we cleaned up and went out to dinner and then to the kids school to see where their classes were and who their new teachers would be. Our last day in Texas we got up and went to a local splash pad which had a river by it so we played and played in the humid stickiness. It was such a fun vacation and I'm so glad i could go.
